Keith Urban ‘AUSSIE FANS ARE THE BEST!’

-

Keith Urban returns Down Under from January 23 for his Graffiti U World Tour to Oz, and as the Country Music Association Awards 2018 Entertainer of the Year you don’t want to miss him!

The Queensland-raised country crooner says he loves playing on home soil, in large part becuase of the energy Aussie audiences bring. “That’s half the show,” says Keith. “We come out and play but if the audience doesn’t feel it and give it back to us… you need that energy.”

In fact, Keith has such an affinity with his audiences, he often takes to social media after the show to sing their praises and thank them for attending.

“I always want people to know how much I appreciate them,” he says. “I never take it for granted that the place is packed, there are a million things people could be doing these days, days so that the fact that people come to watch us play, I so appreciate it.”

The father-of-two has been married to Nicole Kidman for 12 years, and while he’s happy to share his feelings through lyrics and onstage banter with his fans, he and Nic lead a very private life. “It feels natural to open up to my fans on stage and through my lyrics. I give everything but I keep my private life private,” the Coming Home singer reveals.

However Keith caused a stir when he released Gemini, a track about Nicole, which included the lyrics, “She’s a maniac in the bed, but a brainiac in her head and wears the hell outta that dress.”

“At the end of the day, Nic and I have the same mantra – we have nothing to hide and everything to protect,” Keith adds. “As a family and as a couple we protect that side of our family.”
