They’re happier than ever – but the actress is putting her career on hold to make sure it stays that way

on tour

She’s his biggest fan, often seen from the sidelines, in the audience and even sometimes climbing on stage to applaud the love of her life as country singer Keith Urban belts out his tunes. But now Nicole Kidman has revealed she’s going to be a “rock wife” and hit the road for three months as her husband of 12 years goes on his world tour.

“That’s how it works with us. Keith supports me with my films and television, and I support him with his music,” Nicole reveals.

While the 51-year-old will still have some acting commitments, she adds, “For the most part I’ll be on the road with Keith around Australia and Europe.”

But as the Aquaman star insists it’s simply the couple’s way of championing each other, Woman’s Day can reveal the mum-of-four has another reason to play her husband’s groupie.

Sources believe Nicole is actually joining Keith at the hip on tour to make sure past cheating rumours don’t come back to haunt them.

“Nicole is sticking to the story that it’s to spend more quality time with Keith, but friends say there’s more to it than that,” explains an insider.

WANDERING EYE

“She wants to quash any whispers about his wandering eye so it doesn’t rock their happy marriage boat. If she’s with him on tour, she’s hoping to put all of those rumours to bed once and for all!”

Keith, also 51, is known for being affectionate with his fans. In 2015, he reportedly spent time alone with his supporting act, Kelsea Ballerini, who was 21 at the time, in his tour bus.

“Nicole knows that Keith constantly has fans throwing themselves at him, and even though she totally trusts him, it gets under her skin when people start wondering what’s going on between them,” says the insider.

The couple have faced talk of relationship trouble over the years, and after spending time at a couples counselling retreat last year, it seems Nicole will do whatever it takes to keep her marriage on track.

“Although Nicole’s career is better than it’s ever been, she won’t let that get in the way of their relationship,” adds the insider. “If taking some time out to support Keith on tour helps them to keep the spark alive, then Nicole is happy to do it. And if it means she can prove to the world that he’s behaving himself at the same time, even better!”
