They were once sugar and spice and all things nice, but plans for the much-anticipated Spice Girl reunion tour have turned sour as rumours of a lesbian fling between Mel B and Geri Horner have rocked the girl group.

When Mel B let slip she’d had a romp with Geri in the band’s heyday during an interview with Piers Morgan last month, it sent shockwaves in the Spice Girls camp, especially as Geri publicly denied the affair!

According to reports, it’s caused a fallout between Scary and Ginger Spice, and while all their scheduled UK performances in May and June will go ahead, plans for a world tour are now hanging in the balance.

“Tensions are running high between Mel B and Geri,” an insider

tells Woman’s Day. “It looks like it’s going to be very much a case of getting the tour over and done with as quickly and painlessly as possible.”

At the time of the bombshell sex confession, Mel B admitted Geri, 46, wouldn’t be pleased.

“She’s going to kill me and so is her husband,” the 43-year-old said.

And it seems she was right! The mother-of-two was quick to quash the dramatic claims, saying they were “very hurtful”, but both parties are trying to save face by saying they’re eager to tour together.

“They used to be the best of friends,” spills our source. “But this has cast a shadow over the tour and ripped the band apart and, no matter how close they are, it’ll be a surprise if their friendship can survive this.”
