PIERCE’S PAIN OVER HIS LOST SON
He’s a family man through and through, so when Pierce Brosnan saw recent photos of his estranged troubled son Christopher, it broke his heart.
The James Bond star, 66, was married to the filmmaker’s mother, Cassandra Harris, for 11 years before she died from ovarian cancer in 1991. During their marriage, he had adopted both Chris and his sister Charlotte after their birth father died.
But Pierce was forced to cut Chris, 46, off almost 15 years ago when he refused to kick a life-threatening heroin and cocaine addiction, which once landed him in a coma and led to numerous run-ins with the law.
“Cutting Chris off almost destroyed him and he thinks about his decision every day,” says the source. “He had hoped Chris managed to sober up
and live a happy, healthy life, but the photos suggest otherwise.”
Pierce has a biological son, Sean, 35, with Cassandra and also two children, Dylan, 22, and Paris, 18, with wife Keely Shaye Smith. Sadly, Charlotte also died from ovarian cancer in 2013.
