JULIA’S BACKSTAGE MELTDOWN
Julia Roberts and Danny Moder didn’t look like they were having much fun at their date night at the Rolling Stones concert – in fact things couldn’t have looked more tense between them.
Onlookers tell Woman’s Day the Pretty Woman star “completely lost her cool” with her hubby of 17 years in an angry exchange.
“Her jaw was clenched and she was talking at him and he looked like he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him,” says one concertgoer. “It wasn’t clear what Julia’s problem was but Danny definitely looked to be in the firing line.”
Their most recent outing would suggest things aren’t smooth sailing for Julia, 51, and Danny, 50 – and they’ve certainly had their ups and downs over the course of the relationship.
“The problem is when Julia loses it, it doesn’t matter where they are or who is watching,” adds the insider. “It’s always been this way but recently the arguments seem to be happening way more than usual and Danny can’t stand it.
“When Julia blows up, his first instinct is to just walk away, but he won’t do that in public because she’ll cause more of a scene yelling after him,” the source explains. “So he has to stand there and take it.”
