The footballer’s cosy display with the Friends star has left Victoria fuming
Posing shirtless in a hot tub alongside a bikini-clad Courteney Cox, a flirty-looking David Beckham was clearly having a ball. The soccer megastar, 44, and Friends star Courteney, 55, were shooting cameos for Modern Family in LA, where Becks has been on holiday with wife Victoria and their four children.
While it looked like harmless professional fun, Woman’s Day can reveal the steamy encounter has led to yet more arguments and upset in the Beckhams’ 20-year marriage.
Now there’s mounting talk the Beckhams’ already-fragile relationship is teetering on the edge of full-blown collapse.
“Victoria was supportive of David’s acting gig, in fact she was really excited, until Courteney posted that picture to Instagram,” reveals an insider.
“She could not have got on the phone fast enough. As far as she was concerned these were not the sort of scenes David signed up for and she was fuming.”

Making matters worse was the fact in one photo Courteney appears to be gently resting her hand on David’s bare thigh and he hardly appeared to be batting her away. “In Victoria’s eyes that was completely and utterly uncalled for and unnecessary. It left her wondering what they were getting up to when the cameras weren’t rolling,” adds the source. “To say she felt jealous would be an understatement. “In her mind, David quite clearly has a crush on Courteney and she was playing up to that.”
Fuelling Posh’s theory, Courteney did nothing to stop rumours of their flirty encounter, suggestively captioning one of the snaps “Too hot in the hot tub,” which further angered Posh. “David has told her she’s being completely ridiculous and blowing everything way out of proportion like always, but Victoria says she’s neither blind nor stupid and knows when he fancies someone,” adds the source.
Indeed, insiders say she may be spot on because her hubby and his
“new FRIEND” – as he referred to Courteney – got on like a house on fire.
“It was one big flirtfest between them from start to finish,” an on-set spy spills. “The hair flicking and giggling from Courteney was insane and David was like a puppy dog following her around. Everyone was whispering about how cosy they looked and how Victoria wouldn’t have been happy watching them together.”
The source says Courteney was in her element and lapping up the attention David was lavishing on her.

“She’s looking smoking at the moment and she knows it,” adds the insider. “Courteney had no problem stripping down to a bikini in front of David, who didn’t seem to mind flashing his flesh in a pair of tiny swim trunks either.”
And while proud Victoria would never publicly make it known she has a problem – even going as far to comment on David’s post announcing their acting gig “I can’t
wait!!!!!!! Kisses x” – behind closed doors she’s told David if he thinks he’s meeting up with Courteney without her and their kids, he’s wrong.

“If David thinks he’s going on some cosy date with Courteney by himself he’s got another thing coming,” says the source. “Victoria will suggest they all go and then she can gage this ‘friendship’ herself.
“She knows David can be an insatiable flirt but when there’s a woman on the receiving end who is equally as flirty he goes off the scale. If they do meet, Victoria will be nice as pie, but she’ll have an edge to her that screams, ‘Back off, he’s mine!’”
