THEY’RE DOWN TO THEIR LAST DOLLAR!

The cash-strapped duo are in turmoil after the show left them practically broke

-

Just weeks after Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson revealed she and fiance Cameron Merchant lost a $5000 deposit after postponing their hotly anticipated wedding, a source tells Woman’s Day they’re almost skint.

The couple were forced to give up their well-paid jobs during the long months of filming, and battled to make ends meet on the $150-a-day pay on the show, finding it hard to cover mortgage repayments for Cam’s two

properties and Jules’ apartment. “Cam came out of the series unemployed and Jules tried to get as much hairdressing work as she could but she had a demanding publicity schedule so hardly got any work,” the source says.

Cam, 35, is believed to have lost his job in May 2018 after his employer Spartan Sporting Goods went into liquidation.

When the show went to air in January 2019, the pair were offered a range of paid jobs, including hosting a trivia night, but they refused out of fear it would “taint their brand”, choosing to hold out for more “luxury” focused work.

Thankfully Jules, 37, has recently signed as a WW (formerly Weight Watchers) ambassador and the face of Olay Australia.

But her husband-to-be is struggling to play catch-ups. “He’d hoped for endorsements but [clients] are more interested in Jules,” says our insider.

And despite all Jules’ recent promotional work, there still might not be enough cash in the bank to see the couple secure their dream wedding.

Last week, a wedding vendor told media the couple had reached out in hopes of getting complimentary services worth thousands of dollars in exchange for social media publicity. The vendor re refused their terms.

Their financial fi stress comes amid bac backlash from Jules’ former castmates castmates, who have hit out at her. Last w week Melissa Lucarelli accused the t star of using her for publicity after the bride-to-be dropped her h as bridesmaid – despite p promising her the role in the show show’s season finale. Feisty brides Jessika Power and Mart Martha Kalifatidis have also revealed another sid side to Jules.

“It seems everything that w woman does these days i is calculated and b beneficial for her and her only,” sprayed Jess, while Martha called Jules a bully… Ouch!
