Woman’s Day (Australia)

HARRY & WILLIAM THEY HAVEN’T SPOKEN IN 237 DAYS!

Relations between the royal brothers are at an all-time low

-

Weeks after Prince Harry shocked the world by confirming the sad truth about his bitter falling out with Prince William, Woman’s Day can confirm the feud between the brothers is even worse than previously thought – they haven’t spoken in 237 days!

Despite desperate attempts to intervene and encourage a reconciliation from 37-year-old William’s wife Kate, 37, as well as their father Prince Charles and even the Queen, the formerly inseparable “twins of Wales” as their mother Diana used to call them – are not on speaking terms.

“It’s nothing short of tragic William and Harry have let their relationship deteriorate so badly,” says a worried palace insider.

“Kate’s desperate to do anything she can to help them reconcile but even she can’t see a way through, especially if Harry keeps lashing out publicly. Charles and The Queen were hoping it was just a phase but this is a very real split that doesn’t look fixable at this stage.”

‘William and Harry wouldn’t even stand next to each other’

NO MORE FOURSOME

Our source reveals the brothers have not shared a conversation since that fateful day in March, when the palace announced the awesome foursome were no more and that the Cambridges and the Sussexes would be splitting their households.

“The final words between them is unprintable but it’s also why they’re avoiding each other,” adds our insider. “When that’s not possible, they completely ignore each other.”

Both William and Harry, 35, attended the Trooping the Colour parade in June, and the distance between them was never more obvious than when they stood at opposite ends of the balcony.

“It didn’t go unnoticed how strained relationships were and the fact William and Harry wouldn’t even stand next to each other when previously they’d have been laughing and joking was so sad,” says our source. “It was incredibly awkward for everyone. To see them standing stiffly and bristling away at each other almost ruined the day.”

Relations were equally strained in July when Kate and Meghan, 38, took George, six, Charlotte, four, Louis, one, and six-month-old Archie to watch the brothers play in a charity polo match. But our palace aide says the real issues arose around the birth of Harry’s son Archie. While the world is under the impression that William met Archie on May 14, it wasn’t with Harry’s blessing. “When the press started asking questions, Charles intervened and insisted William see the baby,” adds our insider.

Friends say Wills thinks his brother’s being extremely paranoid and immature – and he’s embarrassed with the way Harry is dealing with their problems so publicly. But Harry thinks William hasn’t done enough to support him and Meghan.

“William told Harry he didn’t know it was his job to make a Hollywood actress feel secure which didn’t go down well.”

PLEASING THE DUCHESS

“William and Kate have really tried hard with Meghan, inviting them to Christmas, days out at Wimbledon… the works,” adds the source. “But it was never enough. And if Meghan’s not happy, Harry’s not happy.

“It’s so sad. The boys were always ‘us against them’, especially after their mother died. Now, when they need each other most, they’ve lost their way.”
