OWEN WILSON: HE’S NEVER MET HIS DAUGHTER!
Proud dad Owen Wilson has gushed relentlessly on talk shows about being father to his two sons, Robert, seven, and Finn, five, but when it comes to his 13-month-old daughter Lyla – who’s the spitting image of the 50-yearold millionaire movie star
– it’s a different story!
Last week, Owen’s former girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates, 35, was asked what kind of a dad he is to their daughter – and she didn’t hold back.
“Owen has never met Lyla. Never,” she says. “He helps financially but it’s never been about that. Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles... and he’s never met his own daughter.”
When asked if she had a message for Owen, who she dated casually for more than five years, Varunie says, “You should see your daughter – she’s incredible, you’re really missing out. She looks just like you.”
The actor denied he was the father when Varunie revealed she was pregnant last year, however a DNA test proved otherwise. He even signed court papers saying he didn’t want visitation after she was born in October.
“When Varunie told Owen she was pregnant, he wasn’t happy about it, and that was the last time they ever spoke,” says our source. “He changed his phone number. He’s never met his daughter and then he gave no heads up he was changing his number.”
A friend of the troubled star, who attempted suicide in 2007, adds, “Owen has always said Varunie tricked him into a pregnancy and gave him no choice in the matter, so he made a decision to not have anything to do with her long before Layla came into the world.”
