KYLE & IMOGEN THEY WERE ADDICTED TO SPENDING!

The radio host and his now ex-girlfriend were burning through his money almost as fast as he was earning it

With a personal makeup artist who travels the world with her and a recently gifted Rolls-royce in her car spot, model-turned-fashion designer Imogen Anthony has become accustomed to leading the high life.

But friends say the blonde bombshell with a penchant for baring her flesh would have to walk away with very little right now if she and shock jock Kyle Sandilands divided up their property following their split.

“Kyle’s spending has always been out of control, and I know there’s not much cash lying around at the moment,” reveals one insider, who says even the $3 million farm the couple own in the NSW Southern Highlands is mortgaged.

“If Imogen pushed for a settlement, she’d find there wasn’t that much to fight over. Kyle has a $5 million collection of cars that he leases, he rents his house, and spends money

like water. And Imogen alone spends about $25,000 a month on living expenses.

“It’s not cheap being King Kyle – or his consort!”

Kyle, 48, is estimated to have earned almost $50 million since he met Imogen, 28, after he noticed her smoking marijuana at his 40th birthday. During their eight-year relationship, he lavished the glamour model with expensive gifts and cash.

“I don’t discuss the absurd amount of money I get given to do something I love,” the self-appointed radio king recently insisted, only to reveal he earned $45,000 a day during his KISS FM radio show.

ROLLING IN DOUGH

He’s Australia’s highest paid radio star, but Kyle also earns millions through his quarter share of water company H2coco – “I make a fortune off that sh*t” – investment in wine brand Nueva Sangria, plus his management and finance companies. And that’s on top of the huge pay cheques he’s earned through roles on TV – from Australian Idol and Australia’s Got Talent to Big Brother and his new show, Trial by Kyle.

He and radio co-host Jackie O recently inked an $80 million five-year deal with ARN, making them the highest paid radio jocks in Australian history, but don’t expect him to make the rich list with Kyle happily admitting he’ll “just f**king fritter it away on junk like normal”.

‘NO RESPECT FOR MONEY’

So how do you fritter away more than $6 million a year and have little to show for it?

“Kyle would be the first person to tell you that he has no respect for money,” claims the insider, who says the monthly expenses for Kyle and Imogen are mindblowing. “Imogen chews through a huge chunk each month. She has her “makeup artist friend”, who often flies overseas with her, and Kyle has to foot the bill for his wages, flights and hotels. Then there’s the $100,000 he invested in her failed fashion label.

“It also costs a fortune to dress Imogen. Kyle has admitted he’d get scared of her if she flew off the handle, which happened pretty frequently. She demanded – and got – expensive handbags and jewellery when they made up.”

Imogen’s former stylist Marc James parted ways with the model last year amid rumoured acrimony over her diva demands, but he’s unable to comment because of a non-disclosure agreement.

Her new “stylist” is makeup artist turned music producer Jay Millionaires, who made his public debut with Imogen at the Fashion+aid benefit, raising eyebrows when he appeared on the red carpet in a black slip dress and boots.

And it’s not just Imogen and her stylist Kyle has to support –her father lives at Two Creeks, the 60-hectare farm that’s also home to Imogen’s motley collection of animals, including a camel and a pony. “Trust me when I tell you there’s not much money left in the kitty once all the bills have been paid each month. With that massive deal, Kyle is never going to be poor, but he’s not as rich as you may imagine on paper – at the moment!”
