ELSA’S HAD ENOUGH!

Chris’ wife looked downcast as she prepared for Christmas on her own

T h fhe festive season is supposed to be a time for family, but Chris Hemsworth was hardly home trimming the Christmas tree last week. Instead, it was left to his wife Elsa Pataky to keep the home fires burning at their Byron Bay compound – while the Aussie actor was snapped at an airport in New York looking unusually tired and frazzled.

“He seemed a bit grey around the gills,” notes an onlooker. “You’d swear he’d been out for a big one the night before.”

The Thor star, 36, apparently left his wife and three kids behind while he travelled to New York to shoot a Hugo Boss ad campaign.

“Yet again, Elsa’s at home with the children while Chris gallivants around the globe,” says a source. “It must be so hard for her, stuck in Byron where she has no close family, raising three kids under the age of seven.”

Despite this, Spanish actress Elsa, 43, put on a brave face as she prepared their household for Christmas Day.

Sharing a picture to Instagram of the tree she’d decorated with seven-year-old India and twins Sasha and Tristan, five, while the foursome wore matching pyjamas, Elsa wrote, “Some like it plaid.”

Earlier that week, she was spotted barefoot while buying nappies at a local supermarket.

“Elsa knows she’ll never be able to keep Chris at home for long, he’s just not wired that way,” says a source.
