The troubled couple look anything but happy
It’s the most stressful time of year and the pressures of the silly season might be proving too much for former Home And Away star Bec Hewitt.
The frantic mother-of-three, 36, was barely smiling as she rushed around Melbourne running errands last week. Onlookers tell Woman’s Day the TV presenter appeared anxious and upset.
“Bec is normally so smiley but she looked completely panicked, like maybe she was struggling to cope,” says a local.
Friends say it’s really out of character for Bec to be so out of sorts, especially as she “lives for the Christmas season”.
Strangely, just days before Bec’s public outing, her husband, tennis superstar Lleyton Hewitt was also seen looking tense. Dressed in head-to-toe black and wearing sunglasses, the 38-year-old looked strained as he spoke into his phone after leaving a massage parlour. Adding to the oddness of the situation, the Wimbledon champion was holding a second mobile phone in his hand.

The couple’s stressed outings come just months after it was revealed they were facing a rough patch in their 14-year marriage. At the time, an insider revealed how Bec’s ongoing role on travel show Helloworld, which has revived her TV career, is driving a wedge between the couple.
“For the first time in decades she feels like she can make decisions with or without Lleyton,” a source close to the star revealed. “But now she’s back at work, she’s feeling overwhelmed by the amount of pressure on her plate – they fight over the smallest thing.”
