VANESSA AMOROSI FACES THE MUSIC
You would never guess that this was once the fresh-faced singer who captured Australia’s hearts when she belted out Absolutely Everybody at the 2000 Sydney Olympics Closing Ceremony. Now, 20 years on, 38-year-old songstress Vanessa Amorosi looks almost unrecognisable.
During an interview on Today to promote her new music last week, the popstar’s dramatic new look dumbfounded viewers and prompted questions about whether she had gone under the knife.
“What happened to her face?” one fan asked on Twitter. “What has she done to that beautiful face?” said another.
While she’s denied having a nose job and breast augmentation in the past, Vanessa isn’t against surgical procedures. “Even people who’ve had surgery, if that makes you feel good about yourself, then so be it. If you are happy about who you are because you’ve had something done, fine,” she said.
