FURIOUS POSH:‘ IT’S HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF!’

Becks’ new assistant hits a little too close to home for his wife

-

Growing up, all Victoria Adams wanted was to be taken seriously by the “posh” set – hence the pouting, Gucci dress wearing persona she created as part of the Spice Girls.

And despite marrying the world’s most famous footballer and creating a multimilliondollar empire together, she always rued the fact her perfectly comfortable, middleclass Hertfordshire upbringing prevented her from breaking into Britain’s upper echelons of society.

Which is why it stings all the more that her husband David, 45, has hired a stunning communications director with impeccable credentials – and the kind of society connections 46-year-old Victoria can only dream of having.

The Daily Mail reports David has recently hired PR whiz Loulou Dundas, the 31-year-old daughter of Lord Bruce

Dundas, who helped organise the wedding of the Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips.

David has quickly come to regard her as his “right-hand woman”. “Posh has complained to friends he speaks to Loulou more than he does her. She’s not been on board long and Posh is already sick of playing second fiddle to her,” says a source. “Friends have shooshed her, saying she and Becks haven’t been married 21 years for nothing, and he’ll get over his fixation on his ‘shiny new toy’. But that description probably made things worse for Posh.”

FLASHBACKS

The insider says Victoria is also having flashbacks of when David reportedly had an affair with his assistant Rebecca Loos for four months in 2003. Even though he has repeatedly denied the lurid claims, Victoria is still “scarred” by the incident.

“Even the name Loulou reminds Victoria of Rebecca

– it’s super triggering for her. And no matter how professional Loulou and David’s relationship is, she will always wonder what’s going on in their meetings and why Loulou might need to hit him with late-night calls.

“Victoria is even asking friends if they think Loulou looks like a ‘younger, posher me’.”

The insider says Victoria’s trying to keep it cool, and is outwardly “incredibly welcoming” towards Loulou, but inside, she’s freaking out.

“It’s no secret that her and David have had their marriage up and downs, even in recent years,” says a source.

“They’ve lived separately, flirted with others and eventually they always come around. But Victoria is worried that if she brings up her worries about Loulou to David, he’ll just accuse her of being neurotic and overthinking the situation, and the last thing she wants is to come off as some nagging wife. That won’t help their marriage any.

“But she’s very aware the world’s eyes are on her family as her son [Brooklyn] prepares to marry, and she couldn’t bear it if Becks was accused of getting too close to yet another female employee. She’ll be watching Loulou and David like a hawk.”
