SHOCK ROYAL DRUG BUST!

Scandal rocks Princess Mary’s Danish family

-

The Danish Royal Guards’ main function is to protect the royal family from trouble, but shocking reports from Denmark that some of its members are the ones bringing disorder to the palace continue to cause stress for Princess Mary and Prince Frederik.

Mary’s mother-in-law Queen Margrethe is also still reeling days after the 2020 annual audit report revealed the family’s royal guards performed their duties while under the influence of drugs.

According to a Danish publication, on June 20 last year, three guards came to work influenced by cocaine. An immediate police investigation was launched and the employees in question were fined.

But that wasn’t the only bad behaviour detailed in the report. Another guard received a $1600 fine for carving his name into the foundation of one of the family’s homes, Rosenborg Castle, during his shift. The same employee was also found to be carrying a bullet in his wallet and with liquor in one of the dorms, which is against royal protocol.

Another unnamed guard revealed that his colleagues often use their position at the palace inappropriately. “Some of the other guards are having a lot of luck using the title when they go out drinking,” he revealed anonymously online, when asked if the job helps the guards pick up women.

The lack of respect for their privileged and well-respected position must be jarring indeed for Margrethe.

The 80-year-old monarch has often expressed her gratitude for the guards, but appeared to be putting on a brave face for a service at Aarhus Cathedral on Easter Monday.

The previous day she enjoyed egg painting at home at Marselisborg Palace with Mary, 49, Frederik, 52, and grandkids Prince Christian, 15, Princess Isabella, 13, and ten-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
