WILL POH BE THE FOURTH MASTERCHEF JUDGE?

There’s no denying the star power of Poh Ling Yeow, and her recent return to Masterchef has fans speculating that she may come back as a permanent judge next year! The former contestant and now bona fide celebrity chef, 48, popped up on the reality cooking show last week to serve as a mentor for the new crop of budding chefs, and if the resounding approval by viewers is anything to go by, we may be seeing a lot more from Poh.

“We could have ditched the week of superstars on a giant screen and just got Poh to pop in each night. Contestants are star struck,” one fan commented on Twitter. “Man, Poh truly lights up the screen every time she’s on it,” another impressed fan wrote, while another asked if Poh could be “the fourth judge” alongside current judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo.

Ten’s decision to bring back Poh may be made easier by knowing that her fan feedback outweighed the chatter generated from international guests including Nigella Lawson and Heston Blumenthal – and the show’s ratings even experienced a lift.
