When a chance accident finds Charlotte Heywood in a small seaside resort of Sanditon, she’s initially titillated by the strangeness of the quiet fishing village’s inhabitants, but as she gets to know the town, she discovers horrific secrets buried deep beneath Sanditon’s grounds. The eight-part drama is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel fragment of the same name, which was unfinished when she died in 1817.
