Where to feel well
The new wellness centres that’ll help you find your zen
Slow House, Bondi
This new self-care sanctuary, just a stone’s throw from Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, is for those longing to slow down (pardon the pun!) and recharge. Choose from a range of experiences such as infrared saunas, ice baths, body scrubs and LED skin treatments. The Signature Slow treatment is a fave – a 75-minute session that involves a sauna, coconut scrub, post-scrub sauna and Omnilux LED light therapy for the face. You’ll be glowing from head-to-toe. Visit slowhouse.com.au for more details.
The Cocoon Room, Melbourne
Dubbed “a day spa for the mind”, this new space in Melbourne’s CBD allows its guests to retreat from the daily grind. On arrival, surrender your phone to a locker before beginning your 50-minute experience. First, you’ll enter The Luxe Lounge (picture a five-star hotel foyer), to enjoy mindfulness activities including colouring in and puzzles, or simply curl up with a cup of tea.
After 25 minutes you’re then welcomed into the sheercurtained Cocoon
Room, to sit back in your own recliner and listen to a meditation audio through headphones. From
$34.50 per session.
