Why do you think helping others is so important?

When you give back to others or volunteer or donate your time, there are all of these other benefits that give back to you, [too]. It helps for you to see others in a more positive light, it improves your self-image, it improves your sense of gratitude about your own life, it adds meaning to your life, [and] you form new relationsh­ips and communitie­s around that.

What if someone doesn’t have the funds to donate to a cause?

There are so many social benefits [to “giving back”]. People think giving back is just donating money, but

I think building relationsh­ips with other people and having a sense of connection and community is really important. You could go door-to-door knocking asking for donations. But you can also offer to do a couple of social media
