She’s celebrating her 25th year on Getaway this year, and also hosts Country House Hunters, and it feels like Catriona’s been on our TVS for a lifetime.

“I remember my first day at Nine,” she said recently. “I walked into the car park and Ray Martin, Tracy Grimshaw and Liz Hayes were there.

I thought, ‘That’s what I want – longevity.’” Tick!

As for recently turning the big 5-0, she’s embracing it! The TV star posted a gym selfie on Instagram with the caption, “I’m officially staring down the tail end of my 40s and I’m determined to kick into my next decade as healthy and happy as I can be. I’d say ‘fit’ but I can’t seem to give up Cheezels.”

And she has a secret weapon. “Fat cheeks I inherited from my nan!” she laughs. “These fat cheeks have held me in good stead.”

Catriona also has a rather unusual beauty secret. “I use Santa Maria Novella elixir. I discovered it in a convent in Rome years ago. It’s made by nuns from recipes created around 1614 by a friar to help to calm the nerves of hysterical nuns!”
