The Olympic swimming champion tells us her food and fitness secrets!

What do you love most about Aussie eggs?

I love that they’re so small and easy to eat, taste good and are good for your health, too. I especially like them for breakfast. You know you’re going to have a good day when you start the day with them. My favourite way to eat them is in a bacon and egg roll, and my husband makes the most delicious homemade waffles with fresh eggs!

What workouts/exercises do you like?

I love being out in nature – surfing, riding my bike or even walking. I also still love swimming and as I am getting older, I’m making a conscious effort to do weights regularly.

How do you stay motivated to work out?

I know I’ll feel better after I work out so that always motivates me. I like to exercise about an hour a day. If I have a few days off I start to feel funny. How do you stay on top of eating well with such a busy schedule?

I make sure I always have healthy wholefoods in the house, such as eggs and plenty of fruit and vegetables. I stock up at my local fruit and vegie shop and the supermarket at least once a week.

If I eat takeaway, it’s mostly healthy. I rarely snack between my three meals a day, but a boiled egg is always a good healthy snack! What do you do to relax?

I like to swim. I can do it without thinking (after so many years) and it feels just like meditation to me. I also like to read books and magazines.
