THE BLOCK CHEATING SCANDAL EXPLODES!

Only Woman’s Day has the pic that threatens to bring the whole competition down...

-

The Block fans watched in horror as twins Josh and Luke were implicated in a shock cheating scandal this week, but no contestant was in the clear as producers scrambled to find out who broke the rules. And now Woman’s Day can exclusively share the photo at the centre of the storm – a snap of the top secret production schedule that fellow contestant Ronnie claims was used to gain an unfair advantage in the TV competition.

“It allowed them to plan ahead and know which day the challenges were happening,” a Block insider reveals. “It gives people an advantage not only for that week’s room, but for the entire competition. With $100K at stake, any kind of cheating is a big deal.”

Host Scotty

Cam tells

Woman’s Day he was “shocked and disappointed” by the bad behaviour.

“I was angry to be quite frank with you,” says the 58-year-old TV star.

“This scandal made it very unfair for everyone. It also affected something I love very much, and that is the build of The Block. It affected the integrity of it, and I think jeopardised this season. That really upset me. It was all quite bizarre.”

Ronnie, 45, previously told Woman’s Day that Josh and Luke were “breaking a lot of rules” while filming the show, and

there’s a possibility that the twins may have felt desperate enough to take some extra measures. “Some of the weeks got too hard for us to keep up. We did struggle at times,” Luke has admitted.

Josh agreed, saying, “It’s very hard when you’re standing there trying to picture that you’re going to have a house completed in a 12-week timeframe... It’s an extremely difficult process.”

OTHER PARTICIPANTS

But there are whispers that other contestants could be involved in the scandal – and it’s about to rock the whole show! In fact, Scotty tells Woman’s Day he has “never seen anything like it” throughout his long TV career.

“We had to have some serious production meetings to establish a way to move forward,” he says.

As for what viewers can expect for the next few weeks on The Block following the big bombshell, Scotty reveals, “There’s a lot of tension, there’s a lot of finger pointing and there’s a lot of denial.”

But which other team could be caught up in the scheme? Faves Ronnie and Georgia, 37, seem unlikely suspects, given they unearthed the photo, while newcomers Kirsty and Jesse hinted to Woman’s Day that they steered clear of the scandal.

“We like being away from the drama,” tells Kirsty, 34. “It suits us,” says Jesse, 33, of having their house away from the other teams – and their late-night antics! But could they be just trying to deflect blame?

After losing out to the favourite teams week after week, there’s also a chance that mum-and-dad team Tanya, 39, and Vito, 45, could have resorted to drastic measures to come out on top.

Meanwhile, Josh told Woman’s Day Mitch, 58, and Mark, 59, are “a threat” in the competition. Could they have joined forces? It’s a whodunnit in Hampton!
