Jessica Simpson has infuriated her sister Ashlee after she reached out to Diana Ross, who is Ashlee’s mother-in-law, without permission!

The 41-year-old reality star, who is currently filming a new docuseries for Amazon, has upset both her little sis, 36, and her brother-in-law Evan Ross, who are apparently “horrified” that she pitched a cameo to his legendary mum, 77.

“Let’s just say all hell broke loose,” says a family insider. “Jessica was way out of line to do this and she’s very lucky she got a polite ‘no’ back from Diana.

“Ashlee went through hell and high water before Diana accepted her, for this very reason.

“Evan’s mum is as snobbish as she is famous, and in the early days thought Ashlee and her family were way too trashy for Evan. The last thing she needs is for Jessica to prove Diana right. What’s even worse is going behind their back.”
