WHY WON’T THE SUSSEXES SUE FINDING FREEDOM AUTHORS?

-

As any royal reporter will tell you, Meghan and Harry don’t hesitate to fire legal letters off to a range of publications if the couple finds their coverage unsavoury.

But despite distancing themselves from Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand – authors of pro-sussex biography Finding Freedom, who last week released extra chapters detailing g the fallout of the Oprah interview – the couple refuse to confirm whether they’ve set lawyers on the writers.

Despite this, Harry and Meghan, 40, have said the book “contains numerous inaccuracies”.

An insider close to the royal rota – a group of journalists approved to officially cover palace goings on – tells Woman’s Day exclusively, “So many of us have borne the brunt of angry legal letters for just doing our jobs, but Omid and Carolyn appear to get away with everything. Probablyy because their coverage is so fawning, whereas the rest of us are more concerned with holding the Sussexes – and any royal – to account. It’s a little hypocritical from Harry and Meghan.”
