MEGHAN’S JEALOUSY OVER POLO STAR

-

The Duchess of Sussex is already learning the hard way that Prince Harry has better high society connections in America than she does – and one family is a particular source of frustration.

When Harry travelled to Colorado last month to compete in a charity polo match, eyebrows were raised when he cosied up to his 21-year-old teammate, rising star Riley Ganzi.

“They looked super comfortable together, like they go way back,” says an onlooker. “They were all too happy to pose arm in arm on the podium, too – I bet Meghan wasn’t pleased about that, given how pretty she is.”

Woman’s Day can confirm Harry and the Ganzis – a prominent American polo family – have indeed shared a long friendship. It was Riley’s parents Marc and Melissa who organised Harry’s appearance at the Aspen Valley Polo Club.

Marc and Harry played on the same team at a similar event in Connecticut in 2013, with Marc explaining, “We have been lucky enough to play polo with the royal family several times. We have built a relationship with them and the royal office.”

A source close to Harry’s wife says, “Meghan knows she’ll have to get used to Harry being seen with beautiful women on the charity circuit, but she didn’t realise quite how close he was with Riley.

“I doubt she’ll stay at home for any future events with the Ganzis, just to be safe. I’m sure Harry got a rigorous questioning after that scene on the podium with Riley.”
