Brad & Margot GETTING COSY AGAIN!
Sparks fly between the pair who have reunited it in LA as they film their third movie together
Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie can’t seem to get enough of each other – at least it seems that way, with the two stars stepping on set together for the third time to begin shooting 1920s period movie Babylon. And film insiders say the chemistry between the box office favourites is still obvious.
“There’s an undeniable connection between them,” says a source. “Margot and Brad got tongues wagging while filming Once Upon A Time In Hollywood a few years ago because they were always flirting with each other.”
SIZZLING CHEMISTRY
Rumours of sparks between the pair were rampant as they filmed the movie in 2018 and promoted it the following year, and on-set sources confirm they were cosy, despite not sharing any scenes together.
“Margot and Brad would sneak off for lunch and dinner when they thought no one was looking and spend hours in each other’s trailers,” an extra told Life & Style magazine. “I’ve worked on many movies and have seen two co-stars become close. It happens a lot. But the chemistry between them was off the charts.”
The pair even went public with their flirtfest, with Brad, 57, jokingly thanking Margot’s feet in his 2020 SAG Awards speech, to which the Aussie actress gushed, “I was like, ‘That was really funny!’”
So it’s no great surprise that Margot’s husband of four years, film producer Tom Ackerley, isn’t exactly thrilled that history appears to be repeating itself on the set of Babylon.
MARRIAGE WOES
“Margot denied anything happened with Brad before,” says the source. “But the whispers did spark a rough patch in their marriage.”
And while Brad’s rep confirms “nothing happened” between the pair, who also appeared together in 2015’s The Big Short, sources say British producer Tom has struggled to accept the friendship.
“He became convinced Margot was enamoured with Brad the last time they worked side-by-side,” tells an insider, revealing Margot’s nervous that reuniting with Brad on this new movie will “send the rumour mill into overdrive.”
But insiders say that hasn’t cured Tom’s insecurity over his wife working so closely with one of the most famous men on the planet. “Tom keeps calling Margot to check in and asks her all these questions,” reveals an insider. “It’s driving her crazy.”
It doesn’t help that Margot and Tom, both 31, spend much of the year apart due to their manic schedules, with the actress admitting they have to squeeze time in together however they can. “Even if we both have to fly to a country in-between where we both are for one night, we’ll do it and then fly back to work the next day,” she says.
But while her days may be spent with Brad right now, Margot is adamant that her heart belongs to Tom.
“Being married is actually the most fun ever, life got way more fun somehow,” she says.
“I have a responsibility being someone’s wife – I want to be better.”
