JOHN’S ‘MAGICAL’ NIGHT WITH DIANA
Ask any of John Travolta’s friends about the best night of his life, and they’ll tell you his night of dancing with Princess Diana at the White House in Washington DC is right up there – even though her husband was looking daggers at him from the sidelines!
According to US Life & Style magazine, John, now 67, thought the Princess of Wales was “magical”, during their appearance at a state dinner hosted by Ronald and Nancy Reagan in 1985.
John, then 31 and a breakout star of Grease, recalls the “whole room cleared” when 24-yearold Diana approached him from across the ballroom.
“We had a storybook moment... we danced for what felt like 15 minutes,” he says. “We bowed when it was over... and my carriage turned into a pumpkin.”
