DARYL SOMERS, 70

The Logie legend made his return to TV this year to host a reboot of Dancing With The Stars after spending years out of the limelight, working on Hey Hey reunion specials and a couple of failed TV shows. He’ll be back under the glitter ball next year.

RED SYMONS, 72

The divorced Skyhooks lead guitarist played a judge on Australia’s Got Talent, was the narrator on The New Rocky Horror Show and he competed on Celebrity Big Brother. He retired four years ago as an ABC Radio Melbourne breakfast host.

MOLLY MELDRUM, 78

Widely credited with being the single most influentia­l person in Australian music, the stetson-wearing former Countdown host almost died after a fall at his Melbourne home in 2011 and had his life celebrated in the 2016 TV series Molly.

WILBUR WILDE, 66

The Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons saxophonis­t toured for seven years with The New Rocky Horror Show and has appeared on a slew of Aussie dramas and in a handful of movies, including Mad Max and has hosted a number of radio shows in Melbourne.

JOHN BLACKMAN, 74

He announced 1500 Family Feud shows and has worked in radio on and off since 1969 in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. John suffered a seizure that brought on a brain tumour in 2007. It was removed and he has since made a full recovery.

JACKI MACDONALD, 66

Folks Are Dumb Where I Come From became her signature song on Hey Hey but the reclusive mum-of-three was anything but, going on to become a news presenter and host of Healthy Wealthy And Wise. She’s now a business presenter on radio.

LIVINIA NIXON, 46

The Getaway star went on to co-host Temptation with Ed Phillips and Test Australia: The National IQ Test with Eddie Mcguire. She currently presents the weather for Nine News Melbourne and hosts a weekend breakfast radio show.
