With Lisa Wilkinson’s explosive memoir, It Wasn't Meant to Be Like This, days away from release, it appears Karl Stefanovic is already in complete damage control. An insider tells Woman's Day that the Today host, 47, who is rumoured to be featured heavily in the tell-all from Lisa, 61, is so nervous about the contents of the book he’s re-signed with his old manager Sharon Finnigan. Sharon, who is well-versed in crisis management and helped Karl weather the storm of his sacking in 2018 and marriage breakdown from Cassandra Thorburn, has already swung into action by concocting a plan to get on top of Lisa’s book – and that’s getting Karl to write his own!
“Sharon and Karl are in talks with his former publisher Hachette who he worked with in 2014,” the source spills. “He will go warts and all if Lisa’s book is as racy as everyone is expecting and he’s ready with a back-up plan, and with Sharon in his corner, he’s giving himself his best chance.”
Friends of the actress had claimed that Katie Holmes was “worn out by dating” but it seems the star’s had a change of heart. She was spotted looking cosy with an unidentified date out and about in New York’s Soho on October 1 – and it’s not the first time the pair have been seen together.
Last month, Katie, 42, and the mystery man were snapped standing in line outside the Lucille Lortel Theatre in New York’s West Village while waiting to go inside. Katie’s new guy is the first she’s been linked to since calling it quits with celebrity chef Emilio Vitolo Jr in May after nearly a year together, but she has admitted she’s always on the hunt for Mr Right.
“I’m a very loving person,” says the single mum, who shares daughter Suri, 15, with ex Tom Cruise. “Of course I’m open to finding love again.”
