No strangers to the real estate game, talk show host Ellen Degeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have added yet another home to their already impressive list of properties. The pair have recently bought a mid-century modern mansion in the Hidden Valley Estate, a gated community located within Los Angeles.

Built by renowned architect Robert Skinner, the home showcases its 1960s heritage with terrazzo flooring, Calacatta marble countertops, original wooden cabinets and floor-toceiling glass walls.

The open-plan house has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and several living areas. Wooden shelving and decadent in-built bookcases surround the expansive and sleek home office.

The spacious main suite features a retro fireplace with glass sliding doors leading out onto an outdoor patio. The luxe ensuite is complete with double vanities, a walk-in shower and a separate bathtub.

The outdoor area is the perfect location for entertaining Ellen, 63, and 48-year-old Portia’s many famous friends and includes multiple lounge areas, fire pit, swimming pool, spa, bar and even a barbecue alcove.

The couple won’t be too lonely in their new neighbourhood with pop singers Adele and Katy Perry both owning properties on the same street!
