QUEEN GIFTS CHARLOTTE HER FIRST TIARA
The Queen has regularly gifted or loaned priceless items from her jewellery collection over the years, and sources say she has an incredible tiara with six-yearold Princess Charlotte’s name on it.
“The Queen plans to hand down the exquisite Cambridge emerald tiara and matching necklace, which was a favourite of her own grandmother’s [Queen Mary of Teck], to Charlotte,” says a source.
“Given she’s the Princess of Cambridge, it seems only fitting given these jewels, which were fitted to the original Vladimir Tiara, can be traced back to the ownership of dukedoms of Cambridges past.
“The Queen has it earmarked for Charlotte for when she’s old enough – most likely when she’s 18 and starts accompanying her parents to state dinners. It will really be a sight to behold!”
But Charlotte isn’t the only young royal who’s the recipient of a thoughtful gesture. Last week, Prince Charles revealed he’s named a garden in his Balmoral home after his grandson, Prince George, after planting it the year the prince was born.
