Elmo’s world

AMANDA SAYS Elmo tells me all about his ailments, which are many, from being deaf and blind to having heart problems, but he still wants to fight on! While he shows me he’s totally blind, Elmo is still in relatively good shape, all things considered. He knows he’s getting older now and thanks his mum for still taking him for walks in his stroller as he loves that.

While Elmo is an only dog he tells Deidre, a dogsitter, that he does enjoy having the other dogs around and enjoys socialising with them. He shares that there was another dog whose name was Jasper, and he passed about 12 years ago. Elmo flitters in and out so I felt dementia around him, which was confirmed by Deidre. Elmo also connected with Deidre’s dad, who has passed over and has Jasper. He lets Deidre know he will also pick up Elmo when he passes. Deidre’s dad brings through another er dog called Jockie, a childhood dog who passed from kidney failure. He thanks his mum for loving him so much and giving him a truly wonderful life.

DEIDRE SAYS I reached out to Amanda to check if Elmo really is doing OK at 17 with all his ailments. Knowing my dad is holding both Jasper and Jockie and is waiting for

Elmo was very comforting and totally amazed me, bringing tears to my eyes. Amanda’s reading was a blessing and I feel at peace that Elmo is happy within himself.
