GWYNETH’S TEARY ON-SET BREAKDOWN
She’s normally the picture of poise, but if recent shots of Hollywood actress and wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow are anything to go by she’s having a tough time lately.
The 49-year-old was seen wiping away tears as she took a break from filming a commercial in LA last week.
“Gwyneth’s having a rough time – it feels like everything is changing at once for people around her, and yet she’s in a rut,” says a source.
“Filming this ad made her realise she hasn’t done much meaningful acting work lately, and she misses it. But there haven’t been any roles she’s felt are right for her.
“She’s terrified that she’s caught in that middle-aged, no-woman’s land that seems to happen to most Hollywood actresses, which she was hoping to avoid. You could call this a crisis of confidence, or a midlife crisis.”
While friends think she’s being silly and she’s as in demand as ever, they say the mother of Apple, 17, and Moses, 15, is also feeling vulnerable as her children grow older. “She’s also dealing with her eldest kid going off to college and she’s feeling emotional about that, too,” says the insider. “Gwyn’s in her own head at the moment and there’s little anyone can do to bring her out of it.”
