MEGHAN’S REVENGE

The Duchess of Sussex’s favourite journalist aimed a rebuke at the palace last week over supposed double standards stripping Prince Andrew’s titles compared to Prince Harry’s. This led some to suspect Meghan herself had “planted” the story.

“Harry simply wanted to remove his family from an unhealthy environment,” Omid Scobie, author of Sussex-sympathetic biography Finding Freedom, said on British television.

“[But he was] publicly dragged over the coals and stripped of his every achievement and royal privilege before setting one foot out of the country,” he said, adding that it was a “staggering 26 months before Andrew was dealt with” following his trainwreck BBC interview in which he clumsily attempted to deny the accusations against him.

A source says, “Meghan reviles what she believes are double standards, and she’d have made sure word got back to Omid, who publishes anything she says, so he could put her side out there.”
