BILLION DOLLAR MISSION!

A shock return to the course has set tongues wagging

-

Most 67-year-olds are hoping to kick back and enjoy retirement, but it seems Aussie golfing legend Greg Norman has other ideas!

With plans afoot for a career comeback after giving up tournaments more than 10 years ago, it's clear the Us-based multimillionaire is not slowing down anytime soon.

In fact, the Aussie icon is eyeing off his last career goal – joining the very exclusive billionaire club!

Those close to Greg reveal he's worth a cool $700 million, and it's easy to see why. From self-branded booze, beef jerky, restaurants, wine estates – you name it, Greg has developed an enviable empire. While most people would be happy with somewhat less, the Shark wants even more.

The former world No. 1, considered one of the greatest golfers of all time and a savvy businessman, has never been one to shy away from a headline.

When he hinted recently he could be a starter for this year's upcoming British Open, it's no surprise his shock announcement made the front pages.

“It's all a bit of a storm in a teacup – within 24 hours it was clear a career comeback was not on the scorecard. Some thought it was an innocent and perhaps even cheeky publicity stunt, and if in fact it was, then it worked!” says the insider. “But there are the serious golfing pundits who thought his move was a little more calculated – a bit of a nudge at golf's governing bodies that he still has plenty of clout.”

With his sights set on making a rumoured $345 million over the next five years heading up a Saudi Arabiabacked golf tour, Greg has done the sums and becoming one of the world's 2755 billionaires suddenly seems real.

‘He’s fitter, healthier – and richer – than he’s ever been’

Don't ever expect the sports star to slow down either, with close sources revealing he's become something of a workaholic and a high achiever as he works hard to further develop his business operations.

Greg is also said to be fitter and healthier – and undoubtedly richer – than he's ever been!
