15 & FABULOUS!

The ‘headstrong’ young royal marks another milestone

-

Princess Mary and Prince Frederik’s eldest daughter, Princess Isabella, has been declared “a beautiful mix” of her famous mum and dad, in stunning new portraits released to mark the royal’s 15th birthday on April 21.

Danish palace sources reveal the teen – who received her religious confirmation in a ceremony at Fredensborg Palace Church on April 30 – is indeed a chip off the royal block!

While she may very much look like her king-inwaiting father, personality-wise she is exactly like her 50-year-old Aussie-born mother, and is described by insiders as strong, opinionated and very clever.

“Isabella is extremely interested in the day-to-day running of the palace, and you get the impression she’s going to work very hard for the family and the Danish people once she’s of age,” a source explains.

Isabella – who’s third in line to the Danish throne

– is said to be quite the fashionista and has taken a keen interest in all things style.

“She loves accompanying Mary to events, especially when it means she gets to glam up. She’s obsessed with fashion and loves strong tailoring and sharp suits,” reveals the insider of the student, who has been known to sport a Prada bag on occasion. “Mary begs her to wear more flowy dresses, but Isabella knows her own style and is very committed to developing her own look.”

In fact, the source says Isabella is keen to make her own mark in every way. “Isabella is growing into a headstrong young woman,” admits the insider. “She’s keeping her mum on her toes!”

The teenager will have an even greater chance to spread her wings when she becomes a boarder at Denmark’s Herlufsholm School in August.

A keen sportswoman, Isabella will be starting ninth grade and joining her older brother Prince Christian, 16, at the exclusive school.
