MEET SOLDIER JANA PITTMAN

As if being a mum-of-six and a doctor isn’t enough to juggle, Olympian and SAS Australia star Jana Pittman has revealed she’s in the process of enlisting in the Australian Army Reserve, too!

“I am halfway through that application, but I had the twins, so it has been delayed,” says the 39-year-old, who gave birth to her fifth and sixth children in October.

The former athlete – who appeared on the second season of SAS – says she was inspired by her family to sign up.

“My brother was an ex-afghan veteran, my grandfather was in the army and my husband’s brother is in the army, as is his father,” she says.

“So we have seen firsthand how the war can impact them when they come home. I have grown up with a lot of respect for veterans.”
