Wedding bells are on the horizon for the actress, who has never given up on love
Halle Berry has sparked rumours she’s heading down the aisle with her boyfriend of two years, Van Hunt, after a source revealed the pair are in the throes of wedding planning.
The 56-year-old actress has admitted she’s found “the love of my life” in the 52-year-old musician... but it’s been a rocky road to get there!
“Halle is the first to admit her relationship history is a little chequered, to say the least,” says a friend of the thrice-married actress, who has had several high-profile splits, including from baseball star David Justice, R&B singer Eric Benet and most recently, French actor Olivier Martinez.
“Life with Van has been blissful and easy – she can’t quite believe things could be this good. For a while, she assumed it would end in tears just like her other relationships, but he has been very patient with her and healed her heart in a way that she didn’t think was possible,” says the insider.
FINALLY FOUND THE ONE
Meanwhile, Halle is grateful that she’s finally able to relax with someone she loves.
“Sometimes you have to wait for things in life. I waited patiently – well, maybe not patiently, but I waited,” says Halle of her happy ever after.
And sources say the single mum, who shares son Maceo, eight, with Olivier and daughter Nahla, 14, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, is thrilled to get ready to say “I do” again for the fourth – and hopefully final – time.
“There are rumours they’re engaged, and her friends couldn’t be happier for her,” says the source. “The kids are supportive, and Nahla in particular is thrilled for her, because she’s old enough to remember her mum being so devastated when her previous relationships have ended.”
The Catwoman star is convinced her days of heartache are behind her for good.
“Because I failed so many times I now know what [love] really looks like,” she says.
