The duchess’ second guest on her Archetypes podcast was pop sensation Mariah Carey. The interview was meant to examine how the word “diva” had evolved from a compliment to an insult. In the interview, Mariah appeared to use the word derogatively against Meghan – insisting she had her own “diva moments” throughout her public life. Meghan herself revealed, “I heard it as a dig.” Sources tell Woman’s Day the once-burgeoning friendship between Meghan and Mariah has “cooled considerably”.
One PR commentator said Meghan “met the power in the room” the day she invited Mariah onto her podcast.
