MAGGIE BEER TAKES A BREAK FROM BAKE OFF

The Great Australian Bake Off has had a spring clean and beloved judge Maggie Beer is out!

Maggie, 77, and fellow foodie Matt Moran, 53, have been replaced by British cookbook author and former My Kitchen Rules judge Rachel Khoo, 42, and Melbourne pastry chef Darren Purchese, 47.

Aussie Youtuber Natalie Tran, 36, and New Zealand comedian Cal Wilson, 51, will take on hosting duties of the new-look series, which started filming in Sydney last week.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the wonderful and uplifting GABO with Darren, Natalie and Cal. I cannot wait to taste all the delicious cakes the bakers make,” says Rachel of her new gig on the hit show, which will see 12 bakers put through their pastry paces.
