SOFIA & JOE SECRETLY SPLIT?
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are fighting off rumours of a marital rift after the actress was forced to attend Sarah Hyland’s wedding with her son Manolo, 30, as her “plus one” just weeks after the couple put their Beverly Hills house on the market.
To add further fuel to the fire, the reason for 45-year-old Joe’s absence from the wedding was his “schedule”, however fans were quick to point out the actor finished his work commitments months ago.
“It seems like the oldest excuse in the Hollywood book,” says a source. “Nothing could have been so important that he’d send Sofia off to a wedding without him.
“She certainly looked disappointed he wasn’t there, but there have also been rumours he’s getting tired of being her ‘plus one.’”
Magic Mike star Joe joined in the family party for Sofia’s 50th last month and the couple – who wed in 2015 – dutifully posted photos and tributes, however friends fear it’s all “a bit staged”. The insider adds, “They genuinely love each other but it’s fair to say Joe’s career has been sidelined since they tied the knot and that will frustrate him.”
