1 MEASURE PROPERLY & PILE INGREDIENT­S

I always use digital scales to weigh products correctly. I then pile them into sections to keep track of which is the White Wings flour or CSR sugar!

2 PREHEAT YOUR OVEN

Placing a cake or item in the oven without preheating will stop the process of cooking, which will affect the end result. The same goes for ingredient­s, if not prepared correctly. Butter is a prime example – it can’t be creamed if hard.

3 ENSURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT

Equipment is super important to be able to fulfil tasks and to cook the dish. I love my electric machines. They take a lot of the muscles out of whisking batters and creams.
