THE WORLD... ACCORDING TO BEAU!

-

Favourite overseas destination...

I thoroughly enjoyed Zimbabwe when I travelled to Africa for my first season of The Amazing Race. The people were so beautiful. The majority of people had nothing, literally nothing, but they were so happy and showed gratitude.

Favourite country for food...

The food in Morocco is sensational. The meat was next level, and the different flavours and spices blow your mind. The produce is so fresh and always cooked to perfection.

Favourite place to take the kids…

My kids love Bali. Being so close to Australia, we get there as much as we can. The food is wonderful, and we love the culture. But it’s the Balinese people that make it so popular for us. Every time my kids talk about Bali, they smile, which says a lot.

Top tips for a long-haul flight…

I drink a lot of water and Hydralyte drinks on long-haul flights because I get dehydrated.

I tend to sleep well on flights, which is lucky for me as I fly a lot for work. I also pack fresh undies and socks in my backpack and just before I land, I like to change into them, whether it’s a two-hour or 20-hour flight, I always do it. It’s funny how a fresh pair of undies can make you feel brand new.

Place you’re itching to get back to…

I can’t wait to get back to south-east Asia. My family loves it there and it ticks every box when you are looking for a holiday destination.

Favourite place to visit while filming the recent

The Amazing Race Australia I loved Caye Caulker island in Belize – it’s one of the most picturesque places! It’s a place I’d love to take my kids, but then I remember it takes about four flights and three boat rides to get there. But certainly worth it – maybe not with a fiveyear-old though!
