MILLIONAIRE HOT SEAT

Since it premiered on April 20, 2009, Millionaire Hot Seat has become Australia’s longest-running quiz show – and remains the only program on our television screens where it’s possible to win $1 million.

Hosted by TV legend Eddie Maguire, the show, a spin-off of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, is a rapid-fire shortened version of the iconic earlier series, which aired from 1999 to 2006.

In 2017, the half-hour show on Nine was extended to an hour. In segments such as Hot Seat and Fastest Finger First, contestants answer multiple choice questions and have lifelines available – Pass, Ask A Friend, 50-50 and Switch.
