AT BREAKING POINT

BEATRICE & EDO

-

A strange series of events between Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the Queen’s funeral has left family members worried about her wellbeing. Looking pale and gaunt, the 34-year-old was seen deep in conversation with her husband, with one onlooker describing their interaction as “tense”.

Later, the couple left the funeral accompanied by her mother Sarah Ferguson, where Edo, 38, appeared concerned as Beatrice looked skyward, in an attempt to hold back tears.

“Bea is devastated about losing her Granny, but there was more to it,” says the witness. “Edo didn’t seem to be his usual tactile self – he didn’t even make to hug her in her moment of distress.”

Another source says Beatrice is under a lot of stress, with her future in the family hanging in the balance.

Reports are rife that King Charles is looking to remove her from the Counsellors of State before she’s even had a chance to enjoy her new status, and she’s not sure what’s next.

“In some ways, she’d be better off following her sister’s lead and carving out her own life overseas,” says the source.
