POLICE CALLED TO SET!

An investigation has been launched following reports of serious theft on site

The Macedon Ranges have been flashing with red and blue lights after police were called over a flurry of theft allegations on The Block! Talking exclusively to Woman’s Day, a production source reveals that the police were brought in after it was alleged that tradesmen were stealing tools and products.

“There’s been a lot of theft this season,” says the source before confirming, “The police were notified and a police report was filed.”

SWIPED CREDIT CARDS

In a separate incident, Sharon and Ankur are also rocked this week by their own theft, after they realise one of their builders has been using their Block credit card – which is given to contestants to purchase materials for their house build – to buy items such as tiles for their personal use.

Having already been grilled by host Scott Cam on their overblown budget, the couple were checking their receipts more diligently, and when Sharon noticed some inconsistencies, she sounded the alarm.

“The Blockheads put a lot of trust in their trades – they’re doing a lot of work when they’re not around – so this was a major breach of their trust,” says the insider.

The source adds that the tradie was “reprimanded” by Block foreman Keith and an investigation was launched into all of House 3’s spending.

CIGARETTE HAUL

The tradesmen weren’t the only ones taking advantage either, with Blockhead Sarah-jane also caught using her Block card to buy cigarettes!

Despite promising to pay the money back, the widespread credit card misuse is said to have production rethinking security measures for the show’s next season.
