An easy day trip from Melbourne, Phillip Island is jam-packed with family-friendly attractions. Top of the list is the Penguin Parade, where hundreds of little penguins come out of the sea at dusk. See koalas in the trees at the Koala Conservation Centre, and kids will also love Churchill Island Heritage Farm, where they can watch cows being milked, sheep being shorn and take a wagon ride.
