Iwent for dinner with some friends this week and it was one of those nights where we could’ve stayed for hours. In fact, we tried our best to, but when the waitress is hovering over your table with the bill, you know it’s time to scarper! And so, it warmed mine – and millions of fans’ – hearts to see the beautiful friendship between Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer last week (p20) as Roger played his final match before retiring. There was something very moving about watching two people who are fierce rivals but have also managed to become the best of friends overcome with emotion. It reminded me that friendships really are one of the most important things. Happy reading!
