Mum might be the word for the singer and her girlfriend Renee
Australia’s sweetheart Casey Donovan has revealed she “would like to start a family one day” with girlfriend Renee Sharples!
The 34-year-old, who began dating lecturer Renee in early 2020 and now lives with her in Melbourne, opened up to the media saying that while they’re in no rush, she wants to prepare her “vessel” for when that moment comes by getting as healthy as she possibly can.
“[It’s about getting] my head and my heart and my body into the right frame of mind to be able to do that,” Casey spills.
The Listen With Your Heart singer, who admitted to tipping the scales at 136kg, has been working hard to get in shape over the past few months. She says it’s all due to healthy eating and doing more physical exercise, thanks to her tour and gruelling performance schedule for Dolly Parton’s
9 To 5 musical.
Casey isn’t stopping any time soon, with the Australian Idol alum signing on as an ambassador for Jenny Craig – and she’s shed a further 6kg in the last month alone since starting the program! “When I was sitting at the heavier scale of 136kg, it scared me. I didn’t know what I was doing and I didn’t know how to help myself,” she says.
“[But] I am at that point in my life now where I just want to be fit and healthy and make good decisions. The weight is a bonus.”
Casey knows “it’s a long game and it’s not an easy fix”, but says that joining Jenny Craig will enable her to “be open and honest”.
“It’s about making smarter decisions and not stressing about it. It is as simple as putting vegies and salad with every meal that you have,” she says.
“I wish I had this better understanding earlier as to how simple it really is.”
