HAPPILY REUNITED OR PR STUNT?
Just days before the Beckham family reunited at Paris Fashion Week last week, rumours were rife in the UK press that the soccer superstar had “read the riot act” to his eldest son Brooklyn.
Up until recently, Brooklyn, 23, and his wife Nicola, 27, were on the outer with 47-year-old David and Victoria, 48.
Since tying the knot in July, whispers of a sad and very serious divide between Brooklyn and his parents had overshadowed his first few months of marriage.
As Woman’s Day first reported, tensions between Nicola and Victoria escalated after the young bride’s refusal to wear Victoria’s designs down the aisle.
But it seemed like that was all put aside for fashion designer Victoria’s show in the French capital, which saw the new husband and wife sit front row alongside his siblings, Romeo, 20, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11.
However, despite the big smiles in front of the media, behind-the-scenes images seemed to suggest the united front might have all been for show. It’s believed the pair didn’t speak during the event, with online sleuths releasing backstage footage of a very awkward encounter, which saw Posh practically ignore Nicola as she greeted wellwishers post-show.
Witnesses say Nicola looked to be equally avoiding her famous mother-in-law, with many branding the encounter “embarrassing”.
